From the Desk of Principal Young

Dear OLOL Families,

Welcome to Catholic Schools Week. We are half-way through the week. And so far it has been great. On Monday, we celebrated our teachers by having lunch brought in courtesy of the OLOL Packer Party group. This group does so much for us and we appreciated the support they have given to us for so many years. In addition, Allissa Turiff graciously offered her sound therapy expertise to our staff. She offered a couple of sessions to our staff. Thank you, Mrs. Turriff.

Today is all about our students. Our 4-8th graders are going to Synergy Sports Complex for a morning of exercise and team building. Thank you to the Smith family for accommodating our students. Our K-3rd graders are heading over to Air Force gymnastics for a afternoon of fun activities. After lunch our middle school students are going to be serving our greater community. Some will be heading to Renaissance Assisted Living and doing an activity with the residents. Others are going to St. Vincent DePaul and sorting merchandise.

On Thursday, our 1st graders will lead us for our Catholic Schools Week school Mass. That is at 9:00AM, feel free to join us if you can. We wrap up Catholic Schools week on Friday with our talent show at 1:00PM. The students and staff appreciate all of your support for this week as well as all year long.

You still have a couple of days to enroll your children for the 2025-2026 school year with the special enrollment fee of $50/family. That ends on Saturday so if you are planning on coming back to OLOL next year, please take advantage of this price. It also helps with planning for next year. It looks like we are going to be needing to add more classes. The sooner I get enrollment numbers, the sooner we can start working on classroom and staffing plans. Thank you for your consideration.

I am excited to announce that we have purchased some pilot classroom furniture last week. We purchased various types of tables, chairs, and desks. They will be delivered in 2-4 weeks. The teachers and students will get to see and work with them. From there we will determine which suits our needs the best and move forward from there. This is all possible due to your support of Light Up Lourdes. I am overwhelmed by your support of the OLOL Mission.

“If you are to serve God with your mind, to study is a grave obligation for you” - St. Josemaria Escriva

Navigating the Digital Age: A Must-Attend Event for Families

Have you ever wondered, "Is it safe for my child to be on social media? What apps should I be aware of?"
