A fundraiser & SPRING

TSF volunteer opportunity during the NFL DRAFT 2025.

Dear OLOL Parents,

We have an exciting and unique spring Packer Parking opportunity this year as Green Bay hosts the NFL Draft!

After coordinating with the Green Bay Distillery staff, we have updated the Packer Parking sign-up with new slots for Wednesday, April 23, through Saturday, April 26. Please note that, unlike regular Packer Parking, we will need to remain on-site even after the lot is full, as there will be people coming and going throughout the day and night.

You can find the updated slots at the bottom of this Sign Up Genius: Football parking: Packer Parking 2024-2025 Season

This is a fantastic chance to raise additional funds for our school, and your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping make this event a success!

From the Desk of Mr. Young

Dear OLOL Families,

Next Friday is the annual OLOL Fish Dinner and school Carnival. This year, we will have an art show as well. We hope to see you there.

The school carnival is brought to you by the 8th grade class. All proceeds from the Carnival will go to their 8th grade class trip. The 8th graders are still in need of small toys, bottles of soda, bags of candy that will be used for prizes. Maybe you can do some spring clean of your kids' toy rooms and bring anything you don’t need to school next week. The 8th graders would appreciate it.

Enrollment for next year is going strong. I'm very excited at where we are and what we can accomplish this spring. This is always a difficult time as a principal. I want to devote time to make sure we wrap up 2024-2025 school year strong. At the same time, I need to put plans into place for the 2025-2026 school year. I pray for grace and wisdom to make sure I am properly allocating time for both.

I have one staffing announcement to pass along. Sally Thompson has decided to retire from her career as a physical education/health teacher. She has been at Our Lady of Lourdes for 10 years. I want to thank her for her service to our school families and students and wish her the best in retirement.

Next week, my wife, Jennifer, and I will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. In those 33 years, we never really celebrated our anniversary in style. We had an opportunity this year. We will be spending 12 days in Ireland, England and Scotland. We will be leaving on April 3rd and returning on Holy Thursday. In my absence, Kay Franz has agreed to be the principal sub. Kay recently retired as principal at Father Allouez after a long career leading several GRACE schools. She'll be here to handle any day to day issues that arise. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
