A Word from Pastor Jeff

Hello Harbor family,

Not only is love in the air, but cooler temps have been as well. I think this has been the coldest stretch of weather I’ve had since moving here in 2022. We’ve had some colder days, but the last several weeks have been much cooler overall. I hope everyone has enjoyed the Southern Texas Winter and had a wonderful start to the New Year. And here we are, month number two already. With a new month comes many new opportunities to engage with Jesus and His community. As always, you can visit our website and app to stay up to date, but for now, here are some of the primary things you might be interested in.

Baptism Sunday — This Sunday, February 8, is baptism Sunday! We currently have 20 people signed up to go public with their faith. On this Super Bowl Sunday, we have much more than football to look forward to. Baptism Sundays are some of my favorite days of the year. Come ready to celebrate and support each of the people who are declaring their allegiance to King Jesus!

UNITE Prayer Gathering — On Sunday, February 15, at 4:00 PM, we will be hosting our first UNITE Prayer Gathering of the year in the Worship Center. This time of prayer is designed to set ourselves aside and seek God on behalf of our church. We're asking Him to unleash His presence, be near to the broken, ignite a passion in us to reach more people for Him, transform hearts and lives, and draw us into greater intimacy and awe as we encounter Him more deeply. Buckle our knees, Lord! This is what we ask.  

Men’s Bible Study — Men’s Bible Study begins on Wednesday, February 25, and will run for five weeks. Each week, from 6:00 - 7:00 AM, men will gather around tables to walk through the New Testament book of James. Coffee and a grab-and-go breakfast will be provided. This is a great opportunity for men to connect and grow spiritually, especially for men who are not already engaged in a Small Group community. Registration closes on Monday, February 23. Women’s Bible Study — Women’s Bible Study is starting on Tuesday, February 17, at 10:00 AM or 6:30 PM, and will be six weeks long. Registration closes on Sunday, February 8, so make sure to get signed up. This season, the women will be walking through a study called Body and Soul, by Lisa Whittle. From anti-aging serums to diets to surgeries to workouts, we’re made aware of and told to “fix” our bodies every day. What if we discovered that our bodies are more than just something to work hard on? What if we learned what it means to live well as bearers of God’s very image? Women’s Bible Study is a great place to connect, especially if you are not already engaged in a Small Group community. Click here to register.

Student Summer Camp 2026 - Summer Camp is the biggest event of the year for Harbor Students! It's an entire week where we get away and have so much fun while taking next steps towards Jesus in life-changing ways! Camp is Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, 2026. The campsite is Mount Lebanon Camp and Conference Center in Cedar Hill, Texas, a little outside of Dallas. Student Camp is for students who have completed 6th-12th grade in the 2025-2026 school year. Registration is open now, and will end on March 29, 2026 at 11:45 PM. Register early and save $30! 

Early Bird Registration: 2/1/26 - 2/22/26, $369 per camper

Regular Registration: 2/23/26 - 3/29/26: $399 per camper
