101st District Court to Celebrate Love with Free Wedding Event on Valentine’s Day 2025

 

 

Dallas, TX- Love is in the air, and the 101st District Court is ready to help you take the plunge this Valentine’s Day! Mark your calendars for Friday, February 14, 2025, from 12 noon to 4:15 pm, because we’re rolling out the red carpet for FREE WEDDING CEREMONIES! That’s right, Judge Staci Williams will be officiating your love-filled union, whether it’s your first time tying the knot or you’re ready to renew those sweet vows! It’s a delightful chance to gather your nearest and dearest in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where love blooms and hearts soar! Don’t miss this opportunity to say “I do” in style—come celebrate your love story with us, and let’s make this Valentine’s Day one for the history books!

Couples wishing to wed for the first time must meet the following requirements:

 

1.          Obtain a valid Texas Marriage license at least 72 hours prior to the ceremony (the 72-hour waiting period may be waived under certain circumstances).

a. A marriage license may be obtained from ANY County Clerk’s office.

                                           i.    Dallas County

1. You must complete an online application: https://www.dallascounty.org/government/county-clerk/vital-records/marriage-license.php

 

2.                 Records Building, 500 Elm Street, Suite 2100 Dallas, TX. 75202; 214/653-7099 ;Hours: 8:00 am-4:30 pm

                

2.        Present the marriage license on the day of the ceremony.

 

Weddings will be performed on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Any questions will be answered by email to 101court@dallascounty.org

 

 

About the 101st District Court: 

The 101st District Court is a civil district court for the State of Texas. This court has jurisdiction over civil matters, primarily real estate, personal injury including medical malpractice, oil and gas and commercial disputes. Judge Williams has been the Presiding Judge of this court since 2015 and has conducted 100’s of marriages during the last decade.
