The mission of Twisted Pink is to provide hope and connection
for people facing metastatic breast cancer through bold breakthroughs in research and awareness of the disease.

February 2021
Support . Research . Hope
As we approach the end of February, we are proud to share a story of love and hope. We continue to remain in awe of the people we serve at Twisted Pink and the stories that come from our connections and paths crossed. February has reminded us that personal connections and good deeds do matter and that we must continue our mission for those who are facing a lifelong journey with metastatic breast cancer.

This month, we had the pleasure of witnessing hope in a way that continues to burn brightly through a connection that was made in 2018. The hope that this connection brings to others through the mission of Twisted Pink has come full circle.
That same month, the love of her life, Alex Whisenant, was involved in a tragic accident and passed away on October 13, 2018. Suzanne chose Twisted Pink for the memorial gifts made in memory of Alex. We continue to help carry Alex’s legacy forward through Suzanne’s faith and hope in our mission.

On Monday, February 8, 2021 Twisted Pink received the largest single online donation to our organization in the amount of $20,000. This donation was made in honor of Mr. David Patrick, who is the brother of Suzanne by a donor living in Quebec. Mr. Patrick is the CEO of Fitzstock Charts, LLC and was the trading mentor to Mr. Samer Chaar, who decided to pay it forward to our organization with his generous donation.

Personally, I am thankful for the conversations with so many of you in a time that our country is facing disparities and fear as we continue to navigate our world amid COVID-19. It is in the small and large acts of kindness that we feel the love and connection to others. That is where we find the greatest love of all.

216 local breast cancer survivors from over 20 separate counties in KY and Southern IN received bags filled with beauty products, clothing and household items this month thanks to our continued collaboration with the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF), who provided the products for the event.

These items help survivors feel supported and offset daily living costs associated with a cancer diagnosis. The total value of the donated product was $269,194.56.
