Change can be fun but sometimes it may feel uncomfortable or difficult. We have a big change to announce. Our Love INC logo is changing! Over the past 20 years the heart and cross has been iconic for Love INC, so rather than move to an entirely different icon, Love INC National wanted to honor our history while also advancing our message by giving more information about what we do. How does Love INC work? We are connectors. We connect churches to one another and their community. We connect community neighbors to resources and support. We bring people together, and through these connections, they experience divine encounters with God. Secondly, while our mission is about transformation, we are not the ones who do the transformation work. Rather, we create the structures and programs upon which transformation and growth is possible. We create spaces where lives intersect and transformation can occur. Then, the body of Christ rises up to do what it does best—care for one another and point people to God.
Once you see our new logo, you will notice a scaffolding concept incorporated through the lattice design of our updated heart and cross that represent the divine intersection of disparate lives and lines that visualize ongoing journeys. Our new logo like our ministry is about connection and transformation!
Over the next few weeks and months, you will see some changes in our colors, signage, social media presence and more. None of this changes who we are as Love In the Name of Christ, our mission remains the same and we continue to Help Churches Help People.
“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3

From Our New Creation Program
We have this unique opportunity to meet people where they are with our New Creation program. We are able to offer a community where they can find hope and empowerment, and we know that each life transformed impacts others around them.
In January our winter session began offering multiple courses. During our first small group time together everyone got to know each other. This group consisted of volunteers and participants walking through a few "get to know you" type questions. At first everyone was reserved and unsure, not quite ready to share their heart with this new group. We know this can be scary for all of us.
As we continued, there was an overwhelming peace in the room, and we began to see the Holy Spirit work. Our friends began to share a little more, and a little more, and then the greatest thing happened...they began to empathize, listening intently, with one another and offering encouragement and support to each other. What a joy to experience what our Lord can do when you trust Him!
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Thank you to those who participated in our Reverse Advent Calendar of 2021.

We started small this past Christmas season, we can't wait to grow this ministry next season.
Wondering what we will do with these blessings? Our New Creation participants receive blessings at each class they attend. We can't wait to share with those individuals working weekly to change the course of their lives.

Bedding Ministries
We often receive calls from those in our community who have a need for bedding supplies, sheets, blankets, towels, etc. Several of our partner churches fill those gaps and meet the need. When offering help in Livingston County we have found it important to have multiple sites available, and we love when more than one partner church works together to fill a need.
Love INC fills gaps in our community with our church gap ministries.
Pray for our partner churches
as they help in our community.

Resale Store/Clearinghouse Volunteer
June Browne
Interviewed by Becky Carpenter
June has volunteered in several capacities with Love INC. She spends time at both our resale store and our clearinghouse. She was looking for community involvement when a neighbor suggested Love INC to her. Our volunteer coordinator saw a light in June and told her, she would be a blessing on our phones and in our store...and so that's why June helps in both areas.
When asked about why she volunteers in both places, June laughed and talked about how different the areas are-the store is never the same day twice, she loves the upcycling and how people are giving back by shopping with us. In the clearinghouse she loves working with each individual she gets to talk too, helping them find their worth and value.
We talked about how June's daughters began coming with her three or four years ago to volunteer in the resale store. They love it as much as she does and even spent time during some of our closure due to COVID restrictions, volunteering to reorganize portions of the store.
Talking with June you can hear how much she cares about the community she lives in, and the passion she has for helping others. God's light shines through her and He uses her to bring that light to our Love INC community and beyond. Thank you June!
