A couple weeks ago Laurie, our Executive Director, was invited to speak to a wonderful group of students led by Ms. Abby. They had a project which raised funds to support Love INC. She was able to share what we do in partnership with our churches for our community. These inquisitive students asked so many great questions and were enthusiastic about our work in our community. Each student received a booklet containing a story of hope. Thank you Livingston Christian School.

A big thank you to the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club for inviting us to share about the Love INC mission! It was great being able to meet face to face. We loved hearing about how they live out their service by being people of action. We are excited to partner with the Rotary as they organize a Christmas in July collecting clothes for our children's clothing ministry and socks for the boot ministry benefitting children in Livingston County.

Welcome to our newest partner church! They have already organized and committed, to a children's clothing gap ministry. In a few short weeks this ministry will be up and running to serve those in Livingston county. All in time for back to school!

Thank you to Shalom for inviting us to have a Love INC Sunday. We loved the opportunity to share with your congregation all that is happening with Love INC and experiencing God's love with you. Celebrating our partnership by visiting and getting to know Shalom church helps further our mission to mobilize churches.
Pray for Shalom as they live out their mission:
Love God, Love Others and Serve The World.
Love INC Sunday's are a great way to deepen and further engage with one another. Feel free to ask about our availability to host one at your church.

A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. This spring has been a blessing and a praise. We witnessed Gods hand in the unity of the Church and community coming together from every corner of our county offering unique service through so many projects, large and small, loving our neighbors. In the midst of these challenging days, so many caring hands quietly assisted behind the scenes with food, clothing, bags of blessings (personal needs, paper products) furniture, diapers, laundry, gifts in kind and financial giving. The calls kept coming, “How can I/we help”, from churches, groups and individuals. These unusual times have only served to strengthen the God-given desire to give that much more!
I watch in amazement as we experience Gods hand in it all. As He continues to expand our Board of Directors who are passionate about serving the Love INC mission. As He is creating a staff team who are united in their desire to transform lives and communities. We find our days filled with passion, creative thought, and moments of laughter. With engaged hearts, we answer tough calls, work through neighbor’s tough situations, providing care, supportive relationships and a hope-filled path for the future. We are continually aware of our need to keep our eyes and heart centered on the one who created us. We praise Him.
Praise Him all creatures here below.

Starting July 15th we will be kicking off with our summer series called Into The Light.

St. John Lutheran Fowlerville - We want to thank Cathy Vaupel from St. John Lutheran Fowlerville for sharing a little bit about how they started a personal needs pantry in 2013. Cathy and other church members visited several Love INC personal needs pantries.
"We were very impressed and with the support of our Pastor, Pastor Diane Greble, we took on the challenge! Our congregation has fully supported this ministry since 2013. The personal needs pantry has remained open for our clients all throughout the pandemic. All of our personal needs are donated by church members and further supplied by our fundraisers."
While talking with Cathy she spoke on how much of a blessing it has been to work in this ministry because she is able to help people with what they need directly. St. John's is able to help people in the immediate area with support when people have faced devastating circumstances.

It is such a blessing
to bless others.
Our neighbor (CM) was in need of financial assistance to obtain a medical wagon for her son. In building a relationship with her through the Clearinghouse Care Center we learned that CM had been hospitalized with a back injury due to moving and lifting her son daily only adding to the stress financially. CM was able to pay for a portion of the cost and we partnered with Brighton Church of the Nazarene who paid the remaining balance after the company gave a 25% discount. RM is now enjoying his wagon and the family is grateful that we were able to help with their need.

My name is Bob Fox. I am married to a wonderful woman and have three grown children and I am so very proud of each of them. He has truly blessed me with a beautiful family. We are blessed to live on a lake and we all enjoy fishing, tubing, skiing, cruising and all the nature that surrounds a lake. We have two great dogs that bring us much joy and happiness. I attend the Brighton Church of the Nazarene and find spiritual growth and fellowship there.
I was volunteering at Community Connect and had a lady that needed a new furnace but couldn't get one until her roof was fixed. She stopped by the Love INC booth and they said they would get her roof fixed. I was so impressed and decided I wanted to be part of that organization. I started as an intake volunteer but Laurie Bourbonais asked me if I wanted to be part of the prayer ministry. I accepted and I thank the Lord that Laurie heard the Lords prompting for me to be in the prayer ministry.
I have been in the prayer ministry at Love INC for about seven years. The prayer ministry has about 30 people on the prayer list and every Friday morning I call each of them on the phone to pray with them. I always start by asking the Lord to give me His eyes to see, His ears to hear, and His thoughts to think. You see I am a weak man and can do nothing without Jesus.
Praying with and for people has been an amazing experience. I have grown in my spiritual walk with the Lord and I have seen the Lord answer prayer by eliminating pain, restoring relationships, healing broken hearts, providing hope, and blessing them in many ways.
I give thanks for the ministry of Love INC. It provides hope to the disadvantaged, it gives substance to those in need and reaches out with a hand of love that pulls people out of their situation, and it always keeps Jesus in the center of the conversation.

WELCOME NEW STAFF
We are so excited to welcome our new staff

Danilynn Black, New Creation Coordinator - I was born into a large family and was raised right here in Livingston county where I currently reside with my two elementary age children. When I am not helping "transform lives In the Name of Christ" I enjoy camping, reading, and spending time with my family. I have a passion for working with people as they discover their God given potential. I see big things in the future for New Creation and I feel blessed to be called to this position.
|
Karen Reynolds, Clearinghouse Care Center Coordinator - I’ve been married for 23 years, and we have two daughters. We have been in the Hartland area for 26 years. We have a "zoo" at my house with 2 big dogs, 2 chihuahuas, 2 cats, a gecko and a dwarf hamster. God put it on my heart to become involved with New Creation Ministry about 5 years ago and has opened doors for me to be here part-time as a Clearinghouse Coordinator. I can't wait to see what He has in store next!
|
Jim Proos, Store Associate - I am a retired pharmacist, I was Chaplain at the Livingston County Jail, I am an elder at Cornerstone EPC, and I am involved with Life Relaunch and Celebrate Recovery locally. I attended four years at Catholic seminary and basically am a broken man in the process of healing and trying to bring Jesus' healing to others. I am so excited to be working at the Resale store, and be able to encourage others in the Love INC ministry.
|
Pastor Ken Greble, - Board Member- I started as the pastor at Shalom on June 1st of 2020. I had a rewarding and successful business career that spanned over 30 years. I bring with me a deep sense of God's presence developed over the past 10 years as a trained spiritual director and graduate of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus Ohio. I am married to Diane Bareis Greble (a pastor as well) and live with our family pet Frazier (a Gordon Setter) in Fowlerville, MI. We have two daughters living in Grand Rapids MI. Sara and Kaitlynn.
