Love Is Patient

Momma Mia! Mother’s day is upon us!

There is a kind of patience that can only be learned in the deep, soul-longings of motherhood.

No matter what your experience has been with your mom or as a mother, perhaps we can agree that embracing motherhood means stepping into a commitment to cultivate many different kinds of gifts to share with children. If you add up all the gifts required by moms, we are basically asking them to have Superpowers. That’s all, no pressure! Especially after this past year where many moms are just plain tired!

After a year of homeschooling, working remotely, navigating social distancing and challenging dynamics in almost every area of life—moms are weary. And perhaps now more than ever, moms need encouragement.

Sunday we will share about the gifts surrounding the Divine feminine quality of patience. It’s a spiritual tool which can energize all of us. Maybe you have noticed we live in a world seeking instant gratification. When that desire is not met it is easy to become upset, angry, and even rude. How exhausting!

Unity of Dallas board member Lauren Arnold will join me on stage to share heart feelings and truths surrounding her and as we go on a deep dive into the line from scripture of: "Love is patient…"

Often the moments we don't want to apply the real truth of this scripture is when we need it the most.

To express our appreciation and celebrate, we will be handing out carnations as a blessing to all the ladies on Sunday!
