Many of the materials for PrEP education are geared towards gay and bi men. There may be a low perceived risk for cis women. There may be cultural stigma around sex and HIV.

CDC recommends screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea first AND third trimester if age <25 years or high risk. Risk factors for chlamydia or gonorrhea: prior chlamydia or gonorrhea infection, new or multiple partners; suspicion that a recent partner may have had concurrent partners, sex partner diagnosed with an STD, commercial sex, drug use, African American women up to age 30, and local factors such as community prevalence of infection.
