For the love of paws...
PetConnect Rescue News - February 2019  Edition
Dear PetConnect Rescue Family,
Well, the numbers are in, and all I can say is " wow"! Last year, we saved 564 dogs and 501 cats and found homes for 940 of these animals. Many of them are still in the safety of foster care, but no doubt, they will also find their forever homes soon. We truly couldn't have saved this many lives without your help.

This month, as we celebrate the season of love, please remember to share the wealth with abandoned animals whose only desire is to bask in the love of a forever family. Not only will you be saving the life of a cat or dog, but you might just be helping yourself. Our furry friends play a critical role in providing love and affection that enriches our lives immeasurably. Improved health is another area where our animal companions play an important role; one where the benefits actually are measurable. And, significant (you can read more about that below).

So, this Valentine's Day, give your furry friends an extra hug - they bring us love and health!

To your happiness and wellness,

Lisa Velenovsky

PetConnect Rescue In Action...

Opal - From Homeless to Happy-Ever-After!

This gentle girl was dumped in a shelter several months ago, pregnant and scared. PetConnect Rescue was moved by Opal's plight and agreed to pull both Momma and babies. Fast forward a few weeks and you can see Opal's life has been transformed.

PCR Volunteer, Big Bruno, promised Opal he would bring her to safety.

But our work doesn't end here. There are thousands of Opals out there waiting for their chance at freedom. Ready to help? Check out how you can get involved and save lives by clicking HERE.
This Valentine's Day, Do Something Good for Your Heart...Adopt a Pet!

Ani mals lovers have known this for a long time, but no w research has shown that, indeed, pets are good for you!

How do they help?

Having a pet has been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, help provide social support, and boost overall happiness. Some studies point to increased exercise as the key. Others point to less cardiovascular reactivity (fewer spikes in blood pressure and heart rate).* While it isn't exactly clear what's behind the improved health, it is clear that pets are good for us.

This Valentine's Day, forget roses and forget chocolates. Instead, go check out some of our adoptables. Who knows? Maybe you'll be saving two lives.

Won't You Be Our Valentines?

Hi, everyone. I'm Daphne and guess what I recently accomplished? I had babies! PetConnect Rescue took me and my pups in and helped all of us get healthy. Now, I'm looking for a forever home where I can be spoiled.
I love to play, hike, and cuddle.
I'm also very social so my new house needs a tall fence. What can I say? I like visiting with my neighbors!
Are you ready for some serious
beagle love?  If you think that you are, please read more about me!

Meow, everyone. I'm Lil Clementine. I'm a little spit of a thing but don't underestimate me. I've got a lot of spunk and tons of energy. I'm looking for a new home with people who love to play! I really like cat toys and climbing up my cat tree. Oh, and did I mention how much I love food? Are you looking for a fun-loving kitten to keep you company all day? If so, then
I might be just the one for you. If you're ready to open your heart, please read more about me!

You Won't Want to Miss a Thing!
