Pastor Trudy's Message
Love the sinner, hate the sin. As a broad statement, this is accurate. Since we are all sinners invited to live lives in response to God's forgiveness, we should hate sin and love people. The challenge seems to come in how we define sin, hate, and how best to love others. In a couple of Gospel passages from John and Matthew, we will let Jesus lead us through the conversation!
Mighty One, facing our own sin is a challenge, so we look and point out the sin of others hoping You won't notice ours. Thank You for receiving us with our flaws and loving us toward the abundant life You desire for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
