A Message from the Principal
April 6, 2020

Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that it has been a month since we left for Spring Break. I know it has been an incredibly tough time for many of you and your families. Please know that Christy and I think about our LHS family daily and pray for you often.

You have probably noticed that I stopped sending out my weekly emails. This has been intentional knowing you are inundated with digital communication and we want to centralize it through Dr. Goddard. I encourage you to follow his daily communication to stay up to date with the latest information from the district.

With the recent extension of school closures until May 4th and Dallas County shelter in place until May 20th, I am cancelling this year’s Prom. We had been in communication with the Dallas Museum of Art to look at moving the event to May but now are unable. I know how important Prom is and had postponed making this decision with the hope that it could happen. I am truly sad about this for our kids. As I shared in a communication earlier to our Seniors, although we cancelled Prom we are hoping to create alternative experiences for our students if we are able to return to school in May.

I will be sending information later this week about refunds for students who had already purchased their Prom tickets.

Please take a few minutes to see some other information specific to LHS below.

I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
