A Message from the Principal
October 13, 2020

Parents and Guardians,

I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy some time with your student over this past long weekend. It’s hard to believe we are already half way through the first semester! It was really good to see all our On-Campus Learning students today, and teachers and students did a great job of adjusting to the increase in numbers of students on campus.

Don’t forget that tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 14) LHS will host the PSAT-NMSQT for all On-Campus and Virtual 10th and 11th grade students. 9th and 12th graders will not be at school and will learn asynchronously to allow staff to administer exams. Students will arrive at the regular school start time and report to their assigned classroom. Assignments are posted in the Commons for students to view when they arrive. Testing will begin at 9:00 am with the standard testing time around 3 hours. Students must bring their own calculators and pencils. For parents that would like to allow their students to leave once they have completed testing, please fill out the google form below.

Students whose parents have not filled out the form will need to remain on campus for the remainder of the school day and be dismissed at 4:15 p.m.

Also, School Picture Make-up Day for students is Tuesday, October 20th. Please see below for more information on this event as well as several others.

Have a great week.

Notes from the Nurse
Please take the time to update your student's health information in Powerschool, including allergies. This is crucial information when assessing for Covid symptoms.
Also, the current weather can trigger asthma. If your student has asthma and would like to carry an inhaler on campus or in athletics, an Asthma Action Plan signed by both a parent/guardian and a doctor must be on file in the clinic. This form and other important forms can be found here: Lovejoy ISD Student Health Services
