Lovejoy High School News
A Message from the Principal
September 20, 2021

Parents and Guardians,

I know the past couple of days have been full of anxiety and concern for many of you and your students. I am beyond thankful that each of them is safe and truly appreciate the work of our LISD School Marshals, our teachers, our staff, and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office to take care of our students on Saturday evening. We will update you if there is additional information we receive about the incident, and we will be using this opportunity to talk and continue our training with students about how to respond in crisis situations as well as when they have concerns.

Please take a few minutes to review other information below about upcoming dates and events.

Sincerely,

Chris Mayfield
Principal
Lovejoy High School

It is intended to demonstrate what students know and can do as they prepare to graduate. The Senior Project prepares students for college and/or the workplace, and it can help them transform the senior year into one that is uniquely challenging and stimulating. LHS PTSO
Join us for the first LHS PTSO membership meeting for the 2021-2022 school year, Wednesday, September 22nd at 11:15 in the Executive Board Room in the Red School House. We will be approving changes to the LHS PTSO bylaws and standing rules. Having made the change from a PTSA to a PTSO, each campus PTO is making changes to their bylaws and standing rules to better reflect our mission and the way we carry out our mission.

One goal was to better organize and simplify the language, and another was to standardize as much of the language as possible across the campus PTOs. These proposed changes to the LHS PTSO Bylaws and Standing Rules were previously presented to the membership on Tuesday May 11th. This will be an in person meeting.
