A Message from the Principal
August 17, 2020

Parents and Guardians,

Happy 1st Day of School! I know the first day of school usually brings excitement, angst, and a whole spectrum of other emotions for both parents and kids. I imagine those are intensified today as we start school virtually. Whatever you and your student are feeling, I truly hope that both of you have a great day.

I have updated my first email regarding LHS Student First Day Procedures. You can click HERE for all updated information.

I know there have been some technology challenges over the past few days. If you are having any issues please contact our Technology Help Desk at 214-507-4415. They are available Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 4 pm. and will be the best resource for you.

As you visit with your student tonight about their first day, please let us know if you have any concerns that come up. Also, please feel free to share any positive feedback so we know what things are working. Here is a Parent Feedback Form if you would like to participate, or you can contact a principal or counselor listed below.

Schedule Change Requests
Wednesday, August 19th

The Google Form allowing students to request schedule changes will be released this Wednesday in Google Classroom for all students. This will come out in their “Class of…” Google Classroom. Students will be able to make requests. Course changes will be very limited this year due to limitations with our master schedule and teacher availability. We appreciate your understanding in advance that not all course changes will be granted. Counselors will review each request and work diligently to update schedules as needed. Please keep in mind sending emails to counselors with the same request will slow down their ability to respond to the google form. PowerSchool will reflect changes as they occur. Google Classroom will update every evening that a schedule change is made, to sync with PowerSchool.
