📌 Valley Link Valley North Open House Scheduled for November 12, 2026, at 4:00PM The next Valley Link Valley North Open House will be held on November 12, 2026, from 4:00PM - 7:00PM at the Lovettsville Game Protective Association, 16 South Berlin Pike, Lovettsville, VA. “The Town of Lovettsville met with Loudoun County staff and Valley Link representatives on Monday, October 12th to review the revised study segments. As we stated during this meeting, how the proposed lines are installed is as important as where they are installed. We join in the sentiment of our colleagues in Loudoun and neighboring counties—that the Valley Link North team must work with PJM to rethink how these lines will be installed if they are to truly listen to stakeholders and mitigate impacts to our community. The Town of Lovettsville and the Coalition of Loudoun Towns (COLT) will continue to actively engage in the effort to make alternatives such as underground HVDC a reality. We request that anyone that gets a letter, showed up the last open house, or is interested in protecting Western Loudoun County do the same.” - Mayor Christopher Hornbaker Details regarding the project can be found at Valley North - Valley Link or through the Town website at Valley North Electrical Transmission Line Project | Lovettsville VA. | 📌 Due to scheduled leave, the accounting department will remain closed Tuesday, October 13th through Friday, October 16th. As always, payments may be made online 24/7 at https://www.invoicecloud.com/lovettsvilleva using your account number, however, any payments made in-person, via mail, or through the drive-by drop box, will not be processed until Monday, October 19th. 📌 Please Use Water Wisely 🚰 As Loudoun County remains in a drought watch status, this is just a friendly reminder to please use water wisely, and to please resolve any ongoing water leaks. 👉 While there is not a mandatory conservation in place for the Lovettsville area at this time, we are asking all residents to please use water wisely. Examples include running your washing machine and dishwasher only when full, taking shorter showers, refraining from washing cars and watering lawns, and as always, to resolve any ongoing water leaks. 💙 As we continue to monitor drought conditions, updates will be provided. We appreciate your partnership in using our water wisely. | | |

Visit our Town Website for status updates on all of our active projects including Loudoun County projects affecting our area to include the Valley North Electrical Transmission Line Project and the Roundabout at Route 9 and Route 287. 📌 Upcoming Projects: Town Center Well Rehabilitation: The Town’s Utility Department completed the comprehensive rehabilitation of one of the Town’s four wells, referred to as Town Center Well, that is located on the Town Green behind the Walker Pavilion. The rehabilitation comprised of the replacement of a 20+ year pump, replacement of aged steel return pipes, an acid treatment and brushing of the well, all of which were preventive maintenance measures to ensure longevity and improved running levels of the well. Due to the equipment required to complete the rehabilitation, the large vegetation surrounding the well site was permanently removed. The rehabilitation and fencing are now complete. Native and deer resistant plantings have been identified, and mulch is scheduled to be installed in the coming weeks to coincide with mulching of welcome sign. Administrative Building Renovation: On August 6th, construction commenced at the Administrative Building of the Sam A. Finz Municipal Complex to relocate the existing kitchenette to create a new office space for Town staff. Substantial completion of construction has been implemented, and final inspections have been approved. Miscellaneous items such as trim work are now in progress.
Town Wide Street Sweeping: Town Wide Street Sweeping is scheduled to take place Thursday, October 22nd, and Friday, October 23rd, between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM. Please plan to have all vehicles removed or parked in driveways to avoid damage and ensure effective street sweeping activities.
