February 29, 2024 - Happy Leap Day!

Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program Available Now

Deadline to Apply is March 31st

LIHWAP enrollment open on photo of two reservoirs.

The Marina Coast Water District is encouraging low-income customers to apply for help paying their current or past-due water and sewer bills through the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP). The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024.

“Because funding is limited and assistance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, we encourage residents to apply now and seize this opportunity for financial assistance," said Barbara Montanti, Customer Service/Billing Supervisor for the District.

Households with an income below 60 percent of the state median income, and households that are already participating in CalFresh, CalWORKs, or the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are eligible for LIHWAP.
