Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings FA Lower School Parents,

As we prepare to close out the first semester, I am writing this morning to share information about a few upcoming holiday events and activities. Although we are not able to gather as a school community for our annual Jingle Bell and Christmas Tree Lighting celebration or even as a full division for our Giving Tree event, we have made every effort to reimagine these traditions in ways that will be safe and joyful for our Lower School students and teachers.

The Giving Tree and Jingle Bell celebrations will be combined into grade-level events this year. Students in Grades 2-5 will provide a holiday music performance and participate in the Giving Tree event. The Giving Tree is an opportunity for our students to give back to our community by providing gifts to local service organizations. The organizations we are supporting this year include Communities in Schools, Safe Harbor, Glynn Community Crisis Center, and Coastal Coalition for Children. Each grade level will support an organization, and the details are listed below.

I have also included information regarding festive dress-up days for December 9-11.

Lower School students can wear their Lower School uniforms on December 14 and 15 or they can dress up in festive holiday attire for photos with Santa. We do ask that they not dress down those days.

Younger and older siblings can have family photos taken with Santa. We suggest coordinating the family photo during the photo session of the oldest Lower School child. Only family members should be included in all group photos since we are not requiring masks to be worn while photos are taken.

We will have an early dismissal for Lower School students on Tuesday, December 15. KiX will not be offered that day.

Please contact your teachers or me should you have questions or need more information about any of these events or activities.

Happy Holidays!
