Grandparents and Special Friends Day
A wonderful annual tradition at Roycemore is Grandparents and Special Friends Day. This year, the event will take place on  November 26th , the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break. We invite all Grandparents and Special Friends to join us for a Grandparents' Day celebration. The event will take place from 8:30-11am and will feature performances by the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School Choirs and Tumblers. Then the special friends and grandparents will go to the Lower School classrooms where they will do activities with their children. You are invited to the performance, but we ask only grandparents and special friends to go the the classrooms.

What's Happening Around Lower School
  1. Starting in preschool, our students are introduced to French with Madame Michaelson in a French immersion class. They sing, they speak, they play games, and starting in first grade they write.

2 .The Second Grade is learning about Native Americans and their contributions. One of their favorite activities is making corn husk dolls.

3.Recess is a time where kids learn to interact with each other in a non-structured environment. At Roycemore it is so much fun to see students slide down the hill when it snows, climb all over the equipment, but also create their own games and fun, from throwing a nerf football, digging in dirt, to creating rubber band bracelets, and of course, playing with Bay-blades.

Most of these are pictures from what you have read above.

Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment.  Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children.  There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats.   Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.

Please remember when you need more information, such as lunch menus, the weekly bulletin, and reminders of upcoming special events, go to the Parents' Page on our web site at  http://www.roycemoreschool.org/parents

As usual, if you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.
