Dear Lower School Families,

I hope you enjoyed our snow day yesterday and your children enjoyed playing in the fresh snow and ice! Children waking up to learn that it is a “snow day” is often a magical school moment! So far this year, we have already had three snow days. While recognizing the importance of getting children outside to play in it, we also realize that our academic program benefits from routine and the academic program continuing.

Should we have another snow day this week, your children’s homeroom teachers will be sending emails or printed packets with information about work that should be completed during the day away from school. Although it will not take the place of a school day nor replicate online learning, assignments and activities will be sent home that encourage engagement with the curriculum with grade-level appropriate lessons.

If your children’s grade levels require the use of iPads, they will be sent home today in order to allow access to online learning.

As always, thank you for your support.

Be well,

Head of Lower School
