The Move-A-Thon has been postponed to next Thursday!

Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to postpone the Move-A-Thon to next Thursday due to the hazardous air quality today. However, the 5th Graders will still be hosting a bake sale TODAY after school! Make sure to bring cash.

The fundraising site will continue to be open through the end of the month, so get those donations in! This PTA fundraiser supports programs for students and teachers including music, arts, classroom and staffing support, tutoring, and many other things that make LHE special.

A huge thanks to our local sponsors: The Mailbox Ballard, Napoleon, Skansa, Fleet Feet Ballard, Ian Fitness, Grettie’s Goodies, Fuel Sports Grill, Ballard Pediatrics, Ballard Rubbish Removal and Modern Carpentry.

Contact Move-A-Thon co-chairs Alexa Benyak, Jessie Hammer or Laura Kruse with questions.

Volunteer at Loyal Heights!

Our school is always looking for volunteers to help with programs, events, and classroom activities running. When volunteers commit to serving at a school, students achieve higher grades, have access to more opportunities, and gain community connections to help them thrive.

IMPORTANT: All returning AND new volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year are required to have an approved Volunteer Application on file and show proof of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

Returning volunteers: If you plan to volunteer in any capacity during the 2022-2023 school year, please make sure that your Volunteer Application is approved and up to date before you start volunteering. You must always have proof of COVID-19 vaccination with you while volunteering.

New volunteers:  All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application Form online which includes completing an online training video (Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention Safety), background check, and showing proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Instructions for updating and completing Volunteer Applications can be found here.

Please Note: Mr. Steve receives Volunteer Status Updates from the district once a week on Wednesdays. Please make sure that your applications are completed/updated at least 2 weeks before you plan on volunteering. Updates and applications created after Tuesday evenings will not be reviewed until the following Wednesday.
