We are so thankful. Together we have raised $22,337 for the Direct Give Drive, thank you for your generous donations. Your funds support our counseling program, tutoring, teacher materials, technology, and other important programs for our students. If we meet our $25,000 goal, Principal Berkenwald has agreed to get a pie thrown in his face (on video) for us to all witness. We are so close! Donating is easy and 100% tax deductible.
The Loyal Heights PTA has a long history of funding the school counseling program, showing a community commitment to social emotional health for all students. Whether it is individual meetings with a student who is having a hard time missing their friends, social groups to connect kids, or classroom lessons about mindfulness, emotional regulation, and more, students interact with the school counselor in a variety of ways. Working directly with families to support them and their student in whatever may be happening at home during the building closure is an additional piece of the school counselor program, as the remote environment has brought the lines between home and school closer than ever before. This time is incredibly challenging for all of us, especially our students, and the simple message of knowing we are not alone is important to hold onto as we continue to move forward. Thank you to the PTA and the entire Loyal Heights community for your love and support!
