Black Lives Matter Week
This past week our school has been creating a beautiful art project for Black Lives Matter week. If you haven't yet, there is still time to stop by and tie your ribbons to the fence. Thank you to everyone who participated!
The PTA Equity Group is grateful for LHE staff commitment to creating meaningful learning and celebration opportunities for LHE students during Black Lives Matter week, and to promoting equity and anti-racism all year long.
Help us shape next school year's PTA budget!
We are looking for a mix of community members and current Board members to join the Budget Team. This group will create a proposed budget for the Board and ultimately the general membership to vote on. No previous accounting or finance experience needed!
Budgets reflect the values and the priorities of the organizations they serve and with a challenging year ahead, we want this budget to be as inclusive, realistic and effective for our entire community. Ideally, we'd like 8-10 members and certainly welcome new faces.
The anticipated time commitment will be Feb-May: a 1-2 hour per month Zoom meeting, then in June two Zoom meetings for finalization.
The first meeting will be in the week of February 22nd. Contact Kali Sakai & Danielle Kisker for more information and/or to sign up. Thank you!
