Dutch Bros. Coffee...and You!

Buck for Kids Day at Dutch Bros. Coffee raised $3280 for our Clubs. That's a lot of coffee! Thank you Dutch Bros. for continuing to be an amazing community partner and thank you to everyone who stopped by in support of our Clubs.

CARSON TAHOE HEALTH

Masks, masks and more masks! As we prepare to come together for Luau, protecting our guests, staff and youth has been top of mind. Carson Tahoe Health stepped up in a big way, by donating N95 masks for our event.

Also this month, Carson Tahoe's Infection Prevention Specialist, Ngwasi Chikibom, MSN, RN, CIC spoke to our staff about the risks and benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine to help our team make informed decisions about their health and the wellness of our youth.

We are very grateful for their commitment to BGCWN.

Luau is Saturday, but you can still get in on the Luau Action.

National Lights On Afterschool

October 28 is National Lights On After School Day and raises awareness for after school programs which play an important role in providing a safe place for youth. One in three youth in America do not have access to safe and reliable afterschool care, so this day is centered around celebrating programs and organizations like BGCWN. At our Clubs, we will be doing a Lights on Afterschool Poster contest, recording “What the Club means to me…” videos and facilitating team building activities.

National Coffee Day at Coffee on Main

Head over to Coffee on Main in Minden on Wednesday, Sept. 29. They are donating $1 from every coffee sold to Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada. Pick up one for a friend, for double the impact!

Fall Fest

Visit our booth at Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 9AM-3PM at Heritage Park We will have games and activities for the family to enjoy together! We hope to see you there!

Trunk or Treat

On Thursday, Oct. 28 at 2PM, our community partners will host 'Trunk or Treat' for our fall break Club kids in the parking lot at Pau-Wa-Lu. Club members can wear their costumes for this activity.
