I am honored and grateful for the Board of Directors choice and confidence in my ability to lead the Coalition for the Homeless into this new chapter.

I want to thank the executive staff and all employees for their warm welcome, especially Michael Ferrell, for his support and assistance in making my transition into this new role smoother.

We owe much gratitude to Michael for his 35 years of commitment and strong leadership, which have positioned the Coalition for the Homeless for a bright future.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to be a part of the Coalition for the Homeless leadership for 35 years. My journey began in 1989 when I stepped into the role of Director of Operations, passionate and eager to make a difference.

In 1996, I was privileged to be promoted to Executive Director, a role that deepened my commitment to the Coalition’s mission.

There is an immense sense of fulfillment in knowing that my work contributed positively to the lives of individuals and families, helping to bring hope and support to those in need and experiencing homelessness.

We are excited to welcome Lucho as the Coalition’s new Executive Director and are confident in his ability to continue to enhance the vital work of homeless services.
