LUCID MOTORS BRINGS AMERICA'S NEWEST CAR COMPANY TO NATION'S FIRST AUTO SHOW  
NYIAS: Celebrating 120 Years of Automotive Innovation in NYC   
Hot off the heels of the announcement that Lucid Motors has started building its factory in Arizona, with production of the all-electric Lucid Air luxury sedan slated to start after phase 1 construction is complete in late 2020, the New York International Automobile Show is proud to welcome this innovative company to the Show next spring. 

Designed, engineered, and destined for manufacture entirely in America, Lucid's mission is to inspire the adoption of sustainable transportation by creating captivating electric vehicles centered around the human experience. 

Lucid is a luxury mobility company that is applying innovative engineering, design, and technology to define a new class of vehicle. Lucid is developing products and services for the new world of experiential, on-demand, and sustainable luxury, with the Lucid Air premium sedan as its first platform. Headquartered in Newark, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Lucid team brings deep expertise from the automotive and technology industries. 
 
About New York International Automobile Show  
120 years ago, a group of enthusiasts in Manhattan joined together to showcase automobiles to a growing group of consumers intrigued by the prospect of owning a 'horseless carriage' and so began a journey to what is now the New York International Auto Show and the largest area for new vehicles sales in the nation. Today, the Show is where car-buying decisions are made. In 2019, 72% of attendees said they were in the market to buy or lease a vehicles within the next 12 months, and 36% added a brand to their consideration list as a result of their visit tot he Show. The event showcases new products, innovative displays and immersive face-to-face experiences. At the 1900 Show a total of sixty-nine exhibitors displayed approximately 160 electric, gasoline, and steam powered vehicles. 
 
The next New York Auto Show runs from April 10 to 19, 2020.
