The Public Library: Democracy's Living Laboratory
This month Rosa Shattuck Circle members were treated to an inspirational evening featuring nationally renowned library leader and former San Francisco City Librarian Luis Herrera speaking about the future of public libraries and their role as "Democracy's Living Laboratory."

This annual event for RSC members was held in The Commons , Central Library's new first-floor flexible space funded in part by the Foundation. After the talk, guests had a chance to try out the new furniture, explore the ProWise interactive touch screen, and enjoy delicacies catered by Siew-Chinn Chin, talented chef ala Chez Panisse.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend!

For those who missed it, here are a few pictures of us having fun together. We hope to see everyone next time.
