Making Space for Sadness and Pain
A conversation about accompanying others through challenging times.
March 30th, 8-9 PM (ET)
An online gathering facilitated by Doug Wysockey-Johnson
What it's all about:
In every relationship, there is a balance between seriousness and joy. Last month we talked about play and joy in relationships. But when times are hard, like they are right now as we face the Covid-19 pandemic, we need to hold space for sadness and grief. But, how do we accompany each other through the painful and challenging times?

In this hour-long online conversation led by Doug Wysockey-Johnson, we'll tell stories of times when we accompanied others, or others accompanied us, through painful and challenging times. We'll also explore ideas of empathy, compassion, expressing gratitude, and offering encouragement. How do we keep our relationships healthy through challenging times? What do we say to our friends and loved ones going through hard times? Join us if you're looking for a time to listen, share (if you choose), connect, and reflect.
How to join:
You will need internet access and a computer, tablet (iPad or something similar) or smartphone with a camera. Most laptops and tablets have cameras built in; if you only have a desktop computer, you would need to add a web camera to that. Our video conference platform is called Zoom . If it is the first time you are using it, you will need to download  plug-in  software. Most people find this quite easy to do.

This event is free and open to all. If you'd like to participate, please Register Here . We'll send out a meeting agenda with additional logistics closer to the event.
