Message from President
 Bonnie Chapman

Greetings Soroptimists,

What did the artist say to the dentist?

Matisse hurt!

I attended the memorial for our Soroptimist sister Carol Thomson, along with about 15 other members from our club. It was very nicely done with many stories paying tribute to her life. Carol's sister shared a moving story about the last day of her life and told all of us how peaceful Carol was in her final hours. I know many of you knew and cared about her so I wanted to pass this on.

I hope that many of you will be at Monca on Wednesday for our fun fifth Wednesday social event. It's a brown bag lunch and special private tour of the current collection. The fun begins at noon.

It's another great week to be a Soroptimist!

With Gratitude,

Monca board president, Pat Macias, will give us a tour of the  museum and tell us about the history of the Veterans Memorial Hall building. The current exhibition is The Snow Goose festival plus the Traveling Audubon Photography Awards Exhibition!  She will tell us about the upcoming exhibition; the work of Dennis Leon, who is the father of our member, Ann Leon.
