Message from President

Greetings Soroptimists!

What's the difference between the bird flu and the swine flu?

One requires a tweetment and the other an oinkment!

Wow Ladies! We sure had a great time at retreat! Thank-you to all who joined in on the fun and hung in there with our very packed schedule. We had so many great conversations, personally and about our club. Thanks so much for your dedication and participation. The Events Committee did such a great job with every detail. I appreciate their hard work very much. One more huge THANK-YOU!

We will move right along to our first Board Meeting this coming Tuesday at 5:30 at the Work Training Center. All are welcome. Beyond that, I will be working to map out our strategic plan for the year based on our sessions yesterday and look forward to bringing it to all of you. Also I encourage all of you to consider attending our District 1 meeting to be held at the Redding Hilton on Saturday, September 15 from 10:00-3:00. A few of us are definitely going and we can work on a big carpool!

Hope to see many of you tomorrow at La Comida!

With Gratitude,

Thank You Blue Bag Donors!

Dear Blue Bag Friends,

Thank you so much for sharing over 9,000 lbs. of food with hundreds in our community who need a hand up. Your non-perishables were given to the Chico Food Locker, the Chico State Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry, the Butte College Roadrunner Hub, Vectors For Veterans, the Veteran's Resource Center, the Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT), and St. Vincent De Paul.

We are looking for some new Blue Bag donors. If you would like to invite any family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers to join us, please send them to chicofoodproject.org  to sign up directly and a beautiful Blue Bag will be delivered to their home.

Grateful To All,

Wendy, Francine, Peggy and Michael
