Several businesses have approached the BID in recent weeks to ask how they can help others during this coronavirus crisis.

One way you can give back is via Luton Homeless Partnership - made up of over 20 partners (Luton BID is one) from across the voluntary, public and private sector, all working together to tackle homelessness.

Whether it's offering your time, giving practical items, making a donation or offering help to change policies - there is lots you can do to make a difference. To do this please visit the Street Support Network and click HERE.

Input your postcode to see a list of local projects/ requests and then click on any of these to find out more about how you can get involved.
Cycle to work scheme for employers and their employees

The Covid_19 pandemic has led to many people taking up cycling not only as a hobby but also as a lifestyle choice to help adhere to social distancing by reducing use of public transport.

A government Cycle to Work scheme is available which enables employers to help employees save between 25% and 39% on the cost of a new cycle or an electric bike.

Business grants - can we help?

We have now helped more than 30 town centre levy paying businesses find out about the status of their business grant application.

Do you need help? If you are a levy paying business, have made an application to Luton Borough Council more than 10 days ago and have not received any funds the BID can request an update on your behalf.

Email the BID at info@lutonbid.org with the following information:

• Business Name
• Contact Name
• Contact Number
• Full business postal address including postcode
• Date of application
• COVID grant reference number received on submission

The BID will contact Luton Borough Council on your behalf to get a status update on your application, we will then reply individually to those BID businesses requesting this support. Please note that grant applications are currently taking around two weeks to process and pay.
