Continuing our successes
Happy New Year wishes from the Luton BID team and directors - we are very excited about the year ahead and have big plans to continue our 2018 successes.

Look out for our highlights and achievements newsletter coming soon, where we will recap over some of our 2018 favourites.

We have so many to include - projects such as our first ever Mystery Shopping Awards which celebrated town centre customer service, our involvement in helping the town achieve the sought-after Purple Flag status, and the launch of the Best Bar None programme which will promote evening economy businesses.

Our involvement and support of high profile events including Imagine Luton and Diwali in Luton, as well as our very own Luton Live events brought added excitement and fun to the town centre. We also continued with our commitment to improve the town centre environment by running Tidy Mornings and a deep cleaning programme , and carried on funding a glutton vacuuming machine .

Our reduced rate car parking scheme at Power Court and The Mall means even more options for town centre employees and businesses. With all these projects and many others we have lots to be proud of.

We would love to hear from you - if you have any feedback or questions, or would like to get more involved in BID projects please email us HERE.
BID Christmas events round-up
We were delighted with the feedback from businesses, families and shoppers about our BID-funded free Christmas events.

The events we supported or organised were aimed at bringing more people into the town centre over the busy festive period.

The BID supported Luton Borough Council's Christmas Market at the beginning of December, arranged for Peter Rabbit™ and Paddington™  to entertain families in the lead-up and during the Christmas light's switch-on and also hosted carol singing with The Big Hat Factory Choir and Luton Choral Society on two separate Saturdays.

Our Santa in Luton event added to the festive feel as Santa and his helpers performed throughout the town centre.

Our 30ft Christmas tree in St George’s Square and additional lighting in Bute Street, Chapel Street and Park Street improved the look and feel of our town centre, and our What’s On Guide , which was distributed to 40,000 people, promoted a whole host of other town centre events during November and December.

We are keen for your thoughts and feedback too. Let us know wha t you think by emailing us HERE.
