Launching our Mystery Shopping Programme 2019

Following the success of last year's Mystery Shopping programme we are delighted to confirm that our awards scheme is back for a second year.

Our Mystery Shopping scheme is designed to identify, enhance and recognise customer service excellence in Luton town centre.

Please sign up to take part (lots of you already have) by emailing info@lutonbid.org by 5pm on Friday 31 ^st May. You will then be visited by a mystery shopper this summer and invited to a prestigious awards event, which will take place in September (see the above photo of last year's event).

We have been event planning!

Here's a sneak peek at events we are planning this year.

The BID's first event of the summer is a Covent Garden-style street circus on Saturday, 15th June. For an added element of spice we will also host the world famous Chilli Fest.

The biggest event in the BID’s calendar is on Friday August 30th and Saturday, August 31st – our Celebrate Luton Summer Fest. This two-day festival includes drummers, a parade, comedy, music, street circus, interactive street games, dance, a projection, flashmob, rap, workshop and much more.

On 14th September the BID is supporting ‘Polonia - Crossing the Borders’, a one-day outdoor festival of Polish culture.

On 26th October Diwali is back for the second year - a day of parades and performances.

And we are proud to be supporting Luton Borough Council’s ‘People Power Passion: Setting Luton Alight’.

Car parking schemes

Places are still available for those wanting to make the most of our subsidised car parking schemes - with a 50% saving for BID businesses and staff.

The discounted costs are £80 per month in The Mall and £50 a month at Luton Town Football Club's Power Court car park.
