Early footfall figures are positive
Early footfall figures for 2017 are already comparing favourably to last year and also looking positive against the national average.
The number of people visiting the town centre in January and February is 2.7% higher against figures at same point in 2016.
On average the UK has seen a drop in footfall of -1.2% for the year to date against 2016, and the South East overall has reported a drop of 0.9%.
These early figures are even more
encouraging when compared to the highly impressive stats reported in 2016.
