Unclaimed Property Team Headed to North Mississippi This Week
Since I took office in 2012, we have distributed over $91 million in unclaimed property across Mississippi. This is more than 57% of all the money distributed through this program since it began in Mississippi in 1982.

In an effort to continue to return this money to Mississippians, our unclaimed property specialists will be in DeSoto and Tate Counties this Thursday, December 13 to help local residents and businesses find their unclaimed property and start the process for reclaiming their money.

Thursday, December 13, 2018
1:00 to 4:00 pm
Tate County Courthouse
201 South Ward Street, Senatobia

Thursday, December 13, 2018

Citizens can always check the State unclaimed property list on my website . But, the Supervisors for Tate and DeSoto County are also making the list available at the following locations:

DeSoto County website – www.desotocountyms.gov

Office of the Tate County Chancery Clerk
Tate County Courthouse, 201 South Ward Street, Senatobia

DeSoto County Board of Supervisors Office
365 Losher Street, Hernando, Suite 300

DeSoto County Administration Building
365 Losher Street, Hernando, 1 st floor lobby reception desk

DeSoto and Tate County Libraries

When we held an event in DeSoto County in February, we distributed more than $88,500 into the local economy. I appreciate these two Boards of Supervisors working together and with my office to continue this outreach and reunite local residents and businesses with their unclaimed property.
Looking for the Gift of a Lifetime for a Special Child in Your Life?
Both of Mississippi’s college savings programs, MPACT (Mississippi Prepaid Affordable College Tuition) and MACS (Mississippi Affordable College Savings), make an excellent gift this holiday season. And, it is never too late or too early to start saving.

Consider opening an account for your child, grandchild, or other special little one this year. Or consider making a contribution to their accounts if they already have one.

Find out more about MACS or MPACT on my website. Or call 1-800-987-4450. The gift of education is the gift of a lifetime!
