FaithWorks 2025

gets personal.

This year's theme for FaithWorks is from the Gospel according to Matthew 25:36.

To help us gain a deeper perspective, this year’s campaign is focusing on three vulnerable individuals, Lynne, Elie and an anonymous mother, who have agreed to share with us a glimpse of their struggles. They, and we, hope that by sharing of themselves, we will be inspired to share of ourselves with others whose day-to-day life is so challenging.

Lynne speaks with us

Lynne is struggling with the impact of trauma in her own life, and then the murder of her son.

She is now living at Samaritan House in Barrie, a FaithWorks ministry partner.

"I'm absolutely relying on Samaritan House to have my back on this." "I really do feel like I'm back to being myself and it's been quite a while since I've been here. I feel like I'm getting stronger and stronger all the time, right when I need it the most, which I'm very thankful for. I’m putting in the work and others are helping me where I can’t. It's hugely beneficial."
