2018 Holiday Greeting Card Design Competition Winner

The Lynnwood Convention Center hosted a competition for creative middle and high school students to help us design the artwork for our 2018 holiday greeting card. Congratulations to Trang Nguyen for being selected as the winner for this years competition!

Francisca started as a server and was quickly promoted to be one of our banquet captains. She is not only a hard worker, she is a great team player. Francisca never hesitates to come forward to help her team to take care of the operation as well as our guests.

Francisca is very friendly and always maintains a very positive attitude. Her contribution helps us to maintain the highest levels of guest service achievement in the department. 
Francisca maintains our Lynnwood Convention Center values at all times and we are proud to have her as a member of our team.
Pumpkin Sage Tartlets
(By Soux Chef Andy Hirth)

2 dozen 2” Pie Shells
1 can Pumpkin (Or 2 Cups fresh roasted)
3 ea Eggs
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup Sage, fresh, chiffonade
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1 Orange, zest & juice
2T Salt
1t Black Pepper, ground
1T Allspice
1T Ginger, ground
1T Coriander, ground
1/2t Cayenne
1t Clove

1) Arrange Pie Shells on baking sheet, put sheet in fridge. Preheat oven to 340F.
2) Mix all other ingredients in large mixing bowl. Transfer mix to pour spout container.
3) Carefully add mix to pie shells, filling all the way to the top.
4) Bake about 10-12 minutes, or until pie crust is a deep golden brown.
5) Once pies have cooled enough to handle, carefully pop them out of their tins and platter them.
6) Garnish with fresh toasted sage.

I LOVE Lynnwood: Sculpture Design – Call for Artists

The City of Lynnwood is looking for artists, designers, architects, and creative people to design an iconic sculpture based on the theme: I LOVE Lynnwood. The large sculpture will be located at the Lynnwood Convention Center in its outdoor area near the intersection of 196 th & 36 th .
