Bring on Quarter 2!

October was a month full of leading, loving, and learning! There were so many highlights including Student-Led Conferences, the PTO Color Run, the Stocktober Sock Drive, assembly guest speaker Matt Wilkie with Convoy of Hope, and lots of academic goals being met.

It's hard to believe that we are already in our second quarter of learning! Keep reading for updates on everything going on at Lyon this month. As always, please let us know if you have any questions and be sure to follow our Facebook page for additional photos and updates.

LEAD

The Amazing Actors student lead team created a skit to review cafeteria expectations, and presented it at the October Leadership Assembly.

LOVE

In October our building participated in the Socktober sock drive to benefit People Helping People of Republic. Ms. Boettler's 5th grade class took the lead on the project by tracking the socks that were donated and giving updates to the building throughout the month.

LEARN

Mrs. Davis' kindergarten class reached their goal on letter identification! They celebrated with pajamas and popsicles.

Student-Led Conferences Feedback

Thank you for joining us for fall conferences! This was our first time doing student-led conferences as a whole building, and we couldn't be prouder of our students. We hope you enjoyed seeing your student take the lead and share how he or she Leads, Loves, and Learns at Lyon. Student Leadership Portfolios will be sent home for you to review each quarter.

Please click the button below to give us feedback on your experience at conferences. We would love to share your positive experiences with our teachers, and appreciate your ideas to make the experience better!

Introducing Way to Go Wednesdays

We want to recognize our students' achievements inside AND outside the classroom! Each Wednesday we will recognize these achievements on our Facebook page with Way to Go Wednesdays. If your student has reached a goal or celebrated an achievement outside of school, please share with us! Send a picture with a short explanation to us via Facebook Messenger or email to [email protected].

We Want Your Feedback!

Republic School District invites parents and guardians of our students to complete the short, 5 minute survey found at https://forms.gle/du45h9BSAKeQaf5CA

by November 9. Your feedback allows us to see at what level we are meeting the needs of our students, families and community at large. Please complete one survey per student in your household.

Throughout November we’ll also be gathering feedback from our 4th-12th grade students and employees. Preparing each student for future excellence through a safe educational environment is our mission, and the information gathered through these surveys provides us a measure to see how well we are achieving this goal. Thank you in advance for your participation!
