Lyrasis Board of Directors Candidates and Election

Member organizations have been invited by the Lyrasis Board of Directors to vote for a representative for Academic Research Libraries. Recently approved revisions to the Lyrasis Bylaws have changed the composition of the Board of Directors to better reflect our membership and mission.

This year, the Lyrasis Board will add four new Directors. The Board will appoint three directors, including an individual to represent Community Supported Technologies, an individual from a non-Lyrasis organization and an individual representing Group Members. This election is to appoint a representative for Academic Research Libraries.

Your member voting representative should have received a ballot from Big Pulse on April 21. Voting is open through Monday, May 5 at 9 p.m. EST.

New offer: Pluto Journals

Beginning in 2025, Lyrasis has partnered with Pluto Journals to provide supporter membership subscriptions to Pluto Journals catalogue of peer-reviewed, Diamond open access (OA) social science journals. The Diamond OA status of these journals means that there is never a charge to read and never a charge to publish in a Pluto Journals title.

Pluto Journals is a small, independent, London-based publisher with editors, authors and readers from around the world. They publish a range of peer reviewed, radical, scholarly journals that are at the cutting edge of social science research, and they are the first social science publisher to make the full transition from subscription to Diamond Open Access.
