Last Chance to Apply for CA COVID-19 Relief Grants

The sixth and final application period to apply for California's Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program opens today and runs through Tuesday, May 4, at 5:00 PM. No additional funding or application periods are planned beyond this round.

Through the first two rounds of these grant awards, 36 Moorpark businesses have already received a total of $400,000. The state is still processing rounds 3-5 of its grant program.

  • If you have not already applied, do so now at www.CAReliefGrant.com.
  • If you already applied and have been waitlisted, keep your fingers crossed that you'll be getting good news soon. You do NOT need to reapply at this time.
  • If you already received a grant, congratulations!

The program provides grants between $5,000 and $25,000 to businesses with revenues between $1,000 and $2,500,000 per year. The state is funding these grants to the tune of $2.075 billion.

Ventura County to Provide Additional $5,000 to Hundreds of Moorpark Businesses

Recognizing the devastating effects of the coronavirus on local businesses and the economy, Ventura County has provided tens of millions of dollars in fee waivers, rental assistance, business grants, and other direct assistance programs. In its first Business Assistance Grant Program, Ventura County awarded $5,000 grants to 3,868 small businesses across the county, representing $19,340,000 in direct assistance. Ventura County is still processing its second round of Business Assistance Grants, having received 2,271 applications and expecting to issue grant payments as soon as this Friday to provide an additional $11,355,000 in direct assistance.

At their meeting yesterday, the Ventura County Board of Supervisors conceptually approved a third round of its $5,000 Business Assistance Grants, which will be awarded to each of the businesses who applied for and received a grant in the first two rounds. That translates to $30,700,000 being provided to 6,139 Ventura County businesses, including approximately 200 in Moorpark.
