Beyond Prototypes:

From Concept to Scale with M&E

Get ready for an issue packed with insights! This month, M&E is excited to explore how our 3D printing services are giving you speed and flexibility never before imagined. We'll then show you how our injection molding department takes those printed possibilities and scales them into high-volume, precision-engineered products. And for companies seeking to fortify their operations, learn how M&E can simplify and support your efforts to reshoring production back to the United States.

Now, a quick question for the curious mind:

Was it 3D printing or the World Wide Web, that first saw the light of day? Check out the answer at the end of this newsetter!

Now, back to our initial question. Which came first, 3D Printing or the Internet?

While it feels like a very modern technology, the first patent for stereolithography (the core process behind many 3D printers) was filed by Chuck Hull in 1986. The World Wide Web, as we know it, didn't become publicly available until 1989. So, 3D printers were laying down layers before we were even browsing websites!
