Letter from the President
To the members of MA COLAP:

The weather has turned and fall has arrived. This means that summer boating season has ended and ice fishing season is just around the corner! Remember that cold weather lake activities require extra precautions against the temperature. Life preservers are required by Massachusetts law for the use of jet skis, canoes, and kayaks from September 15 th to May 15 th. Life preservers are always required for youth less than 12 years old.

The MA COLAP board has been staying busy by working to enact the new bylaws passed at the 2018 annual conference. The board is also working to plan next year’s conference and update the MA COLAP website. If you have any suggestions, please email them to [email protected].

Thank you,

Melissa Lenker
President, MA COLAP
