November was a an exciting month at Military Antiques & Museum. With the Thanksgiving Holiday last week, we had a chance to meet with many of our customers who made a point to visit friends and family in the San Francisco Bay Area so they could make a stop with us. We met many new people and saw familiar ones as well. One of the new visitors to our store was Anthony Thomas, a B-24 nose gunner during WWII. His stories of transporting their B-24 across the Atlantic, being struck by lightning, and stuck in Morocco for a week before being repaired and continuing to England alone is a part of history that we do not always get to hear about. The best was the unofficial name they gave their B-24: "The 4F", because it was constantly breaking down.
