Farewell from Executive Director, Kristine Fisher
Serving as Executive Director of the Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) has been nothing short of a privilege and an adventure. We have made important strides as an organization that will continue to give the MAA great momentum for going forward. Rick Ashley: Marblehead's Horrible Parade
October 1 - November 13
Opening Reception: Sunday, Oct. 2, 2-4 pm
Nationally recognized Marblehead based photographer Rick Ashley will exhibit a body of work about a uniquely New England institution; The Horribles Parade . Rick's photographs in this show focus specifically upon the Marblehead incarnation of this human display with an irony that belies his impassive observation of this annual town event.

Presented by Essex Heritage, Trails and Sails features more than 150 free events over two weekends and celebrates the rich variety of historic, cultural and natural resources in the Essex National Heritage Area (Essex County). Explore one of New England's architectural treasures, the King Hooper Mansion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Take in the beauty of the mansion's airy rooms, and surround yourself in the history of this time-honored building.

In this workshop, Nadine explores how to see through an artistic lens and how to create art that has a balanced design, nuanced colors, and is a true representation of life. Nadine will teach the elements of design, composition, tonal relationships, and painting techniques. The result of this workshop will be a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing alla prima still life, painted from start to finish by you.
