Court Rejects Appeal of FCC Decision Not to Mandate Multilingual EAS Alerts

On October 17, The United States Court of Appeals issued an order denying the appeal of an FCC order that rejected a requirement that multilingual EAS alerts be provided in every market. Read more here ...

On October 24,  the FCC voted 3-2 to eliminate the almost eight-decade old requirement that radio and television broadcasters maintain a main studio in or near their community of license.  Read more here ...
