null We apologize for the incorrect spelling of Glenn Haege's name in the MAB News Briefs sent today, 9/14/17, and wish to correct it. We regret the error and wish to extend our condolences to the family and friends Mr. Haege, who was a strong MAB supporter and a distinguished member of the MAB Hall of Fame.

Public visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the E. J. Mandziuk & Son Funeral Home, 3801 18 Mile Rd in Sterling Heights (www.mandziukfuneralhome.com). INSIDERADIO reports that on its first day back to work after Hurricane Irma struck Florida, the Senate quickly approved the bill (S. 102) designating radio and TV as "first responders" during natural disasters.   Read more here...

DC-Capitol_100 Congressional Help for FMs in Spectrum Repack
According to a report in InsideRadio, Congressmen Bill Flores (R-TX) and Gene Green (D-TX) introduced the Radio Consumer Protection Act ( H.R. 3685). This legislation establishes a dedicated fund to help subsidize FM stations that are broadcasting from 678 television towers which are scheduled to be repacked as a result of the spectrum auction Read more here...
