Make Technology Work For You!

Want to use your iPhone to shop, bank, or text? Need to use a screen reader but don't know where to start? Join us for assistive technology—virtually or in-person—at NO COST to you! MABVI's newest access technology center is open on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Salem Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street. Other MABVI access tech centers are in Brookline, Fitchburg, Franklin, Harwich, Milford, Natick, Springfield, Watertown, and Worcester. Learn more about MABVI's access tech program here. Volunteer for MABVI!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of MABVI! Right now, we need volunteers to work one-on-one with MABVI consumers in Agawam, Arlington, the Berkshires, Cambridge, Greenfield, Natick, Springfield, Watertown, and Worcester County. Screened and trained volunteers help—at NO COST to MABVI consumers—with mail, shopping, taking walks, and more. Learn more about volunteering at MABVI and sign up: HERE.

Sign up for Removing Barriers Around Visual Disabilities!

This virtual symposium will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST. Learn how to identify accessibility barriers and better support clients. Panelists include MABVI's Amy Ruell, LICSW, Director of Social Services, who helps clients adjust to vision loss and supports older adults with visual disabilities.  Register for the FREE symposium here.
