Hello MACers,
The walls of The MAC have gone up! This is a big milestone that reflects all the hard work we have done together during the past three years. We still have much work to do, but seeing the walls is a great reminder of our collective mission and inspires us to proceed with even more enthusiasm. It’s hard to believe that The MAC will be open in just nine short months. We are very excited about what the future holds, and we wouldn’t be where we are without you. I invite you to drive by the site and take a look!
Ad Astra,

For more than 67 years, The Arc of San Antonio (The Arc) has worked to enhance the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. The Arc was founded in 1954 by parents who wanted to create a network of support and services for their children with special needs, advocating for their wider inclusion into the larger fabric of the community.
The Arc programs include; Adult Life Enrichment (ALE) program serves members with IDD on weekdays. ALE staff lead activities and facilitate community-based outings and volunteer opportunities; Community Services Case Management (CSCM) provides comprehensive case management services for children/young adults ages 3-21 whom Medicaid does not cover; Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) offers state-qualified individuals with disabilities support by helping them access the resources they need to live and work independently; Family Support Services (FSS) works with families and caregivers to develop and self-implement plans that address their immediate and long-term needs.
The Arc continues to respond to the community's changing needs, and by developing a partnership with The MAC, we will address the most critical issues facing people living with disabilities.

If you haven't been by The MAC work site yet, be sure to take a drive and see the progress! All 70 walls were raised in August over a span of five days. Each concrete tilt-wall panel is 60 ft. tall, and the roof is next in line to be completed.

Stay tuned as we continue to share our construction photos with you as we make progress.

Morgan’s Wonderland Wall of Fame
|
#DYK - Each year, Morgan's Wonderland shines the spotlight on five heroes who’ve gone above and beyond to befriend the special-needs community. Though we recognize that an individual might be a true inspiration or a hero to his or her family members, we’re looking for honorees that have had a dramatic and extraordinary impact on many lives.
At the new Morgan's Wonderland Camp, the five honorees will be recognized at the 12th annual gala – Celebrating a World of Inclusion – on Friday, Nov. 12.
Names of the five honorees will be placed on the Morgan’s Wonderland Wall of Fame located in the heart of the 25-acre theme park for thousands of guests to see. A committee from Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative and special advisors will review nominations of not more than two typewritten pages submitted.
