Hello from MAG
In February, MAG presents Seeing RED: Art from the HeArt online show featuring works by MAG members and non-members. Show dates are Feb 1 - 28 with a Virtual Reception on Saturday, Feb 6 at 12 noon. Also this month, a second round of biweekly online Art Critique Sessions II with Jill Parry (Feb-Mar) is offered to artists who look for structure, advice, consistency and art market awareness. Scroll down for details.
Following the success of prior years' Student Shows, this year Young Artists on the Rise 2021 show welcomes high school students from Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Maria Regina, and French American School of NY. Presented via video on MAG Youtube Channel, the show has over 70 submissions. Diana Calautti, MAG Emerging artist and a talented video producer and Laura Heiss, longtime MAG artist have organized and produced the show. Art Critique Sessions II are designed to support artists who feel the need for more structure and direction for their work and desire ongoing interaction with other artists. Critique participants learn to be more confident in talking about their artwork and more aware how their artwork fits into the context of other artists in the current art market. Suggestions, encouragement and feedback are given to enable artists to grow and make progress in their chosen medium.
