NEWS & UPDATES

Executive Director's Corner

In recognition of the National Day of Service and Remembrance, MAG staff gathered as volunteers with the shared purpose of improving our community. Together, we assembled and delivered 500 emergency 72-hour kits to homebound seniors across our region.

While these kits contain essential supplies, their true value lies in the sense of care, security, and connection they represent for those who may feel most vulnerable or alone. This effort was a reminder that service is never about the size of the gesture, but about the heart behind it.

I am profoundly grateful to every staff member, volunteer, and committee member who gave their time, energy, and compassion to make this effort possible. The legacy of 9/11 reminds us that even in moments of tragedy, we find resilience through acts of kindness and unity. Thank you for helping us honor that legacy in such a meaningful way.

-Michelle Carroll, MPA

Volunteer Spotlight

Russ Sneddon (pictured) is a true Red Cross hero! As a MAG RSVP volunteer and dedicated Red Cross Transportation Specialist, Russ plays a critical role in delivering life-saving blood from our donor centers to hospitals throughout the Wasatch Front and beyond. Whether he's making local deliveries or driving long-distance runs to places like Burley, Idaho, Russ shows up month after month, logging an incredible 25 to 70 hours a month.

His commitment ensures that patients in need receive the blood that could save their lives. Every time Russ gets behind the wheel, he becomes a vital link in the blood supply chain, helping make sure that hospitals are stocked and ready for emergencies. Russ, thank you for your tireless dedication and compassionate service. The impact you make is immeasurable.
